Description
MGF (Mechano Growth Factor) is a splice variant of IGF-1 that is upregulated specifically in response to mechanical loading of muscle tissue, distinguishing it from systemic IGF-1 signalling. This tissue-specific, load-triggered activation is the primary reason MGF is studied separately from other IGF-1 variants in muscle physiology research.
Researchers investigating satellite cell activation and localised muscle repair mechanisms use MGF as a more targeted model than systemic growth factor administration.
Research use only. Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water immediately before use; MGF has a short stability window once reconstituted, so prepare fresh solution per assay.
