Description
SLU-PP-332 is a synthetic small-molecule ERR agonist (estrogen-related receptor alpha/beta/gamma), developed at Saint Louis University and studied for its ability to pharmacologically mimic exercise-induced metabolic gene expression. Unlike the peptide compounds elsewhere in this catalogue, SLU-PP-332 works at the nuclear receptor level, directly activating transcriptional programs normally triggered by physical exertion.
Because it’s one of the first compounds shown to activate this “exercise mimetic” pathway pharmacologically, SLU-PP-332 is a closely watched reference compound in metabolic and mitochondrial-biogenesis research, frequently compared against AICAR (an AMPK-pathway exercise mimetic with a different mechanism).
